Special Day JuneJun 15 2024 09:30am - 11:00am99 Schermerhorn St, Brooklyn, United States

Free Family Event:

Rise and shine with the New York Transit Museum! Children with developmental disabilities or those on the autism spectrum and their families are invited to join us in Downtown Brooklyn for a morning of free family fun. Discover the Museum before we open to the public at 10am and participate in special transit-themed activities led by Transit Museum staff.

During our Special Day discover how our transit system is Earth-friendly! Enjoy a puppet show about sea creatures finding a home in reefed subway cars. Design your own city building planted with a green roof like the Mother Clara Hale Bus Depot, and track down Earth-friendly transit objects with a search & find activity. A quiet room will be available for anyone who would like a sensory break.

All ages welcome! Admission to this program is FREE and advance registration is required. After registering you will receive 2 emails: a confirmation email and an email with your e-tickets for the event.
